Zebra finches nest in many places, even caves become their nests

While male zebra finches often have darker black and white markings under their chins, the most reliable indicator of a zebra finches’ gender is their beak; Males have red beaks and females have orange beaks. Although they are famous for their loud, rhythmic songs, only male zebra finches can sing. Males often transmit their songs to females.
