This is Steve, a delightful ginger cat with a very unusual flock of sheep in tow!
Steve, who lives in New Zealand, started life as a house cat. During the cold winter months, Steve’s human, Amanda, brought the sheep into the house to keep them warm and that’s when something very strange happened, Steve became very friendly with all the sheep. Lamb.
Amanda explains: “He would get used to them and spend time with them in the house, then the sheep moved out and we started to notice Steve wasn’t inside anymore and we asked, ‘Where is Steve? Already?
They looked out the window and noticed Steve happily playing with the sheep. He became almost their leader and the sheep followed him wherever he went.
From then on, Steve and his lambs became inseparable and they did almost everything together except when it was bottle time and he patiently waited nearby until they finished eating.
