The British brand returns to Monterey Car Week for the first time since 2018.
Jaguar Classic continues its global journey with the C-Type and D-Type Continuation models. JLR’s classic arm will be at this year’s Monterey Car Week in California, marking a modern return for the first time since 2018. Enthusiasts and enthusiasts can take a look at the automotive masterpieces this bowl at The Quail and, in an exciting launch, at the Rolex Motorsports Reunion. Meticulously handcrafted by experts at JLR Classic’s facility in Coʋentry, UK, it takes approximately 3,000 hours to forge each Continue model. Think of these cars as modern re-imaginings of pioneering racing cars, re-engineered using the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies.
The project begins in 2021 with the retirement of the Jaguar C-Type Continuation. A limited series, this collection celebrates the winning history of the original C-Type. Each of the 16 can be customized from a palette of 12 traditional exterior colors and eight interior colors. The Eʋery car is equipped with a 6-cylinder in-line engine, 3.4 liter capacity, 220 horsepower.
In parallel, the D-Type Continuation breathes life into the iconic D-Type racing car, reigniting its legacy after a 64-year hiatus. This effort aims to realize the original goal of 100-strong production, which was cut back in the 1950s. Today, Jaguar Classic aims to fulfill that vision with 25 models built.
