Boffins has created a robot that’s actually in disguise and it’s as weird as you’d imagine – even though you can’t dry it yet.
A real-life Transformer car has attracted a number of engineers and it’s a chatty, playful Bumalebee.
The video shows the complete transformation of a sporty red BMW into a full-sized vehicle, as its side panels are exposed and the chassis lifts up on its feet.

Standing tall, the ‘head’ of the vehicle appeared, as it buzzed like the Autobot Optimus Prime and the towers resembled the terrifying Megatron and Decepticon.
The awesome Letrons BMW is a working prototype and at this stage remotely controlled – essentially a giant toy.
The Turkish company explains the innovation, Antimony, on its website, asserting that the device is designed to be completely convertible.
Built by 12 engineers, the four general models – Bizmut, Argon, Wolfram and Tanta were all built in Ankara. Its head rotates 120 degrees thanks to a motor, and a hydraulic control system provides the technology needed to lift the vehicle on its ‘feet’.
In addition to a stereo system, HD LCD screen and Wi-Fi technology, the car also has ‘arms’ and lights, as well as a reactive camera for speech and movement.
So far it’s not walkable, but the inventors say they’re ready to work on that functionality.
Letrons adds that ʋehicles “may be sold if the buyer’s project and their reasons for use meet the Letrons team’s criteria,” although notes that it is “not yet dry in traffic.”
