The Jaguar Restomod pays tribute to Enzo Ferrari, the E-Type’s biggest fan

After seeing the Jaguar E-Type debuted in 1961, Enzo Ferrari called it “the most beautiful car ever created.” With that praise in mind, this Jaguar E-Type Series 1 restoration could be a tribute to Il Coммendatore as the car is finished in Ferrari’s iconic Rosso Corsa red.

Helm Motorcars produced this Jaguar. The upgraded E-Type has more than just eye-catching colors to make it special. Modern technology makes cars more useful today. For example, the exterior gets front and rear parking sensors, and the turn signals now have LEDs for illumination.

Helм uses aluminum for the doors and hood. The company also installed hand-formed dampers at the secondary ends. The nickel-plated bright part adds a subtle shine to the body’s metal trim. Underneath the skin, this E-Type uses an electrophoretically coated shell to prevent corrosion.

Jaguar’s classic 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine is under the hood. The engine produces 300 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. This mill produces 265 horsepower and 283 l-ft in its stock E-Type Series 1. Helм fits an electronic fuel injection system instead of the stock triple carburetor setup. A four-speed automatic transmission sends power to a limited-slip differential on the rear wheels.

Helм adds speed-sensitive power steering, making moving easier. The suspension is adjustable at the second end. Upgraded rail ends and all joints are also part of the package.

Bill Amberg Studio’s upholstery plan was to create a look that reflected the spirit of the car rather than a faithful recreation of the original E-Type’s interior. The interior features a mix of suede and tanned leather that can be used to cover the seats, dashboard, and dashboard.

The Seʋeral’s modern features complement the leather-trimmed cabin. There is a rear view camera screen and a reversing camera. The Bluetooth-enabled stereo system and air conditioning help the occupants feel comfortable.

The car comes with a pair of espoke weekender cards using Italian calf leather without. Leather straps keep them in the trunk.

Helm is building 20 separate E-types like this. This was the second car in the run to be completed and the first roadster. Each took more than 6,000 hours to complete.

Series 1 E-Type is popular with many collectors today. Gooding & Company achieved a new record for the automaker selling its first production roadster for the equivalent of $1.139m (£911,250) at auction in London in September
