The peony tree is a perennial herbaceous plant that can grow up to 3.5 meters tall . The roots are fat but gradually become smaller towards the tip or have a bulbous shape. The leaves grow alternately and are compound. Peony flowers often grow alone at the ends of branches. The tree’s fruit is usually black, but the tree rarely bears fruit.
