Puppy Bowl XX is right around the corner, and Animal Planet is planning its annual Puppy Bowl to celebrate the dog sporting event’s 20th anniversary.
Puppy Bowl 2024 will air on February 11 as a three-hour special featuring more than 131 puppies, the most dogs to ever participate in the Puppy Bowl. The competing pets, divided between Team Ruff and Team Fluff, come from 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories.
Among the dogs on the scene were six puppies with special needs. PEOPLE has an exclusive look at this talented set of six dogs. The eager puppies prove that dogs with special needs can accomplish anything their hearts desire.

Moosh, a deaf Australian shepherd, is so named because he is a giant bug that loves to cuddle, according to Green Dogs Unleashed in Troy, Virginia. The puppy loves to wrestle with his adopted siblings, play in the snow, and cuddle – of course.
This pug/wirehaired terrier mix was born at Pug Nation LA after a California rescue took in her pregnant mother. Riddle arrived after a difficult birth and was later determined to have cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects his mobility and coordination. This doesn’t stop Riddle from running, playing at the Puppy Bowl and enjoying life.
This deaf border collie mix started out shy with Green Dogs Unleashed but quickly came out of his shell. The puppy, who learned to perform tricks through hand signals, is now an unstoppable force who loves to try new things like swimming, doing puzzles, throwing frisbees and playing soccer with dog.
This papillon mix was born without front legs and lived as a stray before a county city shelter in West Palm Beach, Florida, took him in. The shelter contacted Barky Pines Animal Rescue & Sanctuary for help, and the rescue assumed Mr. Bean . Since being rescued, Mr. Bean has had countless new adventures, including the Puppy Bowl.
Like Moosh, Xinia is a deaf Australian Shepherd from Green Dogs Unleashed. She only cares about making friends. The spunky dog loves to encourage the dogs around her to play, run and have fun, making her an ideal addition to the 2024 Puppy Bowl roster.
