Ronaldo continues to receive bad news at Al Nassr, the season is considered abandoned
Cristiano Ronaldo recently received a series of bad news at Al Nassr regarding the force situation
In the latest move, Al Nassr striker Anderson Talisca will miss the rest of the season in Saudi Arabia due to a thigh muscle injury. The former Benfica and Besiktas player previously missed Al Nassr’s 0-1 loss to Al Ain, in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals.
The absence of Talisca, who has scored 25 goals in 25 matches in all competitions this season, will certainly be a huge loss for Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. Sharing on his personal page, the 30-year-old striker said: “Injuries are part of sports but my determination is even greater! The recovery process starts now and I promise to come back stronger next season to contribute even more to Al Nassr’s success.”
In addition to Talisca’s absence throughout the rest of the season, Al Nassr will also be without the services of defender Aymeric Laporte in the Asian Cup quarter-final second leg against Al Ain. Accordingly, the Spanish star was suspended after receiving a red card in the first leg and will leave a huge hole in Al Nassr’s defense.
Previously, CR7 could not play for Al Nassr after he was banned from playing for 1 match due to bad behavior with Al Shabab fans.
Despite Ronaldo’s impressive scoring form this season with 28 goals in 30 matches, Al Nassr is still at high risk of going empty-handed. The home team at Al-Awwal Stadium currently has 53 points after 22 matches, ranking second in the Saudi Pro League, 9 points behind Al Hilal.
