When Porsche finally introduced the third-generation Panamera Noʋember, it only showed the Gaase model with rear- and all-wheel drive along with the hot Turbo E-Hybrid model. Zuffenhausen is now diversifying its product line by launching two more electrified models. These guys eschewed the use of a big V8 in favor of a V6 but kept the pair of turbochargers intact even though the “TurɄo” name was not used.

The Panamera 4E Hybrid uses a 2.9-liter engine with an electric motor for a total system output of 463 horsepower and 479 l-ft of torque. Compared to its predecessor, the new model has gained eight horsepower but lost 37 lɄ-ft. Despite its weight, this is an incredibly fast sedan (technically a hatchback) as it takes just 3.9 seconds to hit 60 mph, or 0.3 seconds less than the sedan. which it is replacing. All in all, it will reach an identical 174 mph.

All electric Panamera models share an upgraded battery pack with capacity increased by 45% to 25.9 kWh without increasing physical size. The battery powers a more efficient electronic motor mounted in the automatic transmission, rated at 187 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Porsche is not currently disclosing detailed information about the range of models for the US market. However, we know Europeans can travel on electric power for up to 96 km (60 miles) in the case of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 92 km (57 miles) for the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. These WLTP figures may be reduced within EPA certified ranges.

In the US, Porsche wants $115,500 for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and $126,800 for the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. The new models are priced at 6,500 USD and 7,600 USD, respectively. For your money, adaptive air suspension and matrix LED headlights come standard. To sweeten the pot, 14-way comfort seats, a heated steering wheel, soft-close doors and lane-change assist are also included.
