Similar to the Zonda R or competitors such as Ferrari FXX, FXX K…, Pagani Huayra R is a limited edition and can only be used on the racetrack. However, the Huayra R is equipped with a naturally aspirated V12 engine block, chassis, operating system and aerodynamic equipment package that are completely different from the commercially produced Huayra version.

The car is equipped with a 6.0L naturally aspirated V12-R engine – specifically crafted with a weight of only 198 kg. This is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever equipped on Pagani models with maximum capacity of 850 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 750 Nm at 5,500 – 8,300 rpm. minute.

Transmitting power to the wheels is a 6-speed sequential transmission manufactured by HWA. Similar to car models that focus on performance at the racetrack, the gearbox is manufactured with the main material being carbon fiber. The hardness of this part is also 16% higher than the commercial Huayra version.

The exhaust system is also crafted specifically for this model with Inconel and ceramic materials. This detail also has a butterfly mechanism to regulate noise in different racetracks. With many new technologies, the weight of the Huayra R is only 1,050 kg, 20 kg lighter than the Zonda R version.

Pagani Huayra R owns a set of custom cast aluminum alloy wheels manufactured by APP Tech with a size of 19 inches. The car is equipped with Brembo CCM-R carbon ceramic brake disc system with a diameter of 410 mm on the front axle and 390 mm on the rear axle with 6-piston brake calipers. The car uses tires manufactured by Pirelli with a surface size of 275 mm on the front axle and 325 mm on the rear axle.

The aerodynamic details on the Huayra R are inspired by cars competing in the racetrack. With an almost perfect pressure ratio between the front and rear axle of 46/54, Huayra can produce a maximum pressure of about 1,000 kg at a speed of 320 km/h.

The vehicle uses a custom suspension system made from cast aluminum alloy. Pagani said the new operating structure of the suspension system is compatible with the traction of Pirelli tires, as well as can be adjusted according to the driver’s ability and experience.

With a starting price before tax of about 3.1 million USD, the Huayra R is about 1 million USD more expensive than its elder brother, the Zonda R. A total of 30 Huayra R’s were produced, double the number of the Zonda R.
