Evil monster or innoʋatiʋe hybrid? The Bentley ‘Ultratank’ is probably the most portable car we’ve ever encountered. Love it or hate it, you can’t argue that it’s impressive, and a new video of the brute reaching speeds of 81 mph might enhance it.

The super Bentley—which features a number of custom designs suited to crawlers—first appeared on our radar in May after a group of Russians at the Youtube channel AcadeмeG combined a tank with a the Continental GT. Two ‘ehicles’ lie at the extreme ends of the spectrum — one synonymous with luxury; the other, military—but together it makes for an impressive ride, no doubt due to the creators’ decision to retain the Bentley’s ultra-luxurious interior.

Over the past few months, the tank has broken through a number of barriers—physically and metaphorically—broken rails and nearly completed chassis systems more than once, and the brakes were completely out of whack. fixed and in need of repair. On Monday, however, all that hard work finally paid off: the Ultratank reached a staggering top speed of 81 mph, prompting its creators to recognize it as the car to follow. fastest track in the world. Indeed, it eclipsed the high-speed Ripsaw Tank at around 60 mph.

Sure, that’s not very impressive when you consider that the Continental GT can often exceed 200 mph—but the sheer power of this Frankenstein car trumps speed. The Ultratank can handle steeper inclines and rougher terrain, and a quick glance at the Youtube channel shows the custom builds of other cars.

Despite achieving a whopping 80 miles, the creators say they’re not done yet and hope to one day get closer to the top speed the original car could reach.
