Manchester United announces global partnership with Malaysia Airlines.
Manchester United has just announced a multi-year cooperation contract with Malaysia Airlines, making Asia’s leading airline the club’s official commercial airline.
As a reputable name in the global aviation industry, Malaysia Airlines proudly represents Malaysia and provides the best experiences to its passengers, reflecting the Malaysian culture of friendliness and hospitality.
The partnership was announced by Malaysia Airlines Group CEO Izham Ismail at a major industry trade fair in Kuala Lumpur. To celebrate this partnership, former Manchester United defenders Patrice Evra and Wes Brown flew to Kuala Lumpur to attend the event, as both players and ambassadors for the club.
During the event, two Man United legends were asked about the importance of the new partnership:
Patrice Evra said: “Manchester United has fans from all over the world and the enthusiastic support we have in Asia never disappoints me. I am delighted to be able to share our partnership with Malaysia Airlines with those fans and introduce them to the best service they have to offer. Wes and I arrived here on Malaysia Airlines and I want to thank them for such a comfortable journey. From the food to the comfortable seating and friendly service, everything was perfect.
“I am fortunate to represent Manchester United at events around the world. I have visited Malaysia many times and am always amazed at the warm welcome I receive. Malaysia Airlines is a true representation of Malaysia’s welcoming culture and I can’t wait to work with them to engage with our amazing supporters,” said Wes Brown.
Also speaking at the event was Manchester United Chief Executive of Alliances and Partnerships, Victoria Timpson, who said: “Manchester United has a long and proud relationship with Malaysia, with a history of supporting Enthusiasm from all over the country.:
“We have three official fan associations from Malaysia, with the Kuala Lumpur branch boasting one of the club’s largest fan communities, reflecting a love of all things Man United. “
