McLaren has struggled to deliver its Artura hybrid supercar since its launch two years ago. Last year, the automaker had to delay food production plants for several months to improve quality, but now the company is ready to expand its Artura product line with a product that title.
The 2025 McLaren Artura Spider features significant improvements over the coupe, including an improved design to accommodate a retractable hardtop. More updates are coming to the coupe for the 2025 model year, and you can order them now.
The twin-turbo 3.0-liter M630 V6 hybrid powertrain produces a total of 690 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, 19 more horsepower than before. New engine torque limits powertrain performance and stability. The eight-speed transmission features recalibration, which shifts 25 percent faster and sends power via an electronically controlled differential to the rear wheels.
The Spider can hit 60 mph in 3.0 seconds, hit 124 mph in 8.4 seconds and hit 186 mph in 21.6 seconds before reaching an electronically limited speed of 205 Accordingly, it can complete a quarter mile in 10.8 seconds. McLaren.
A new “Wheel Pull” feature allows the wheel to spin hard when accelerating from a standstill with strong throttle input, while pure electric mode provides up to 21 miles of range. The Artura has a 7.4 kilowatt-hour (usable) battery.
McLaren’s new aerosol cooling system includes new brake cooling ducts and increased engine airflow. The 2025 Artura uses carbon ceramic discs and lightweight aluminum brake calipers, while improved dampers improve ride and handling. Delis will begin mid-year, with the Spider starting at $273,800. Three interior specifications at $9,400 each are available: Performance, TechLux and Vision. New 15-spoke silʋer wheels are standard for the 2025 model year. The Spider is an expanded color palette offering that includes standard colors, 20 Elite paint colors and 18 MSO finishes. Silʋer ads are a free option, with new Black Stealth ads coming as standard.
