The car in these photos looks like a Ferrari 296 GT3 race car. It has small wings at the corners of the front. It has V-shaped fenders. The side mirrors are properly mounted on the elegantly curved handle. It sits on a set of Pirelli racing tires. But this is no GT3. Unfortunately, it’s not a real car. That’s how good Aмalgaм is when it comes to large-scale replica models.

This 1:8 scale Ferrari 296 GT3 is the company’s latest offering and we reckon if you can scale it down to 1:8 size you can dry it. At 22 inches long, it represents the proportions of the real thing as it was created using Ferrari’s actual CAD data for the car. With that starting point, Aмalgaм’s artists and designers created various molds and molds to produce the model’s parts. The overall design process took 3,000 hours, and with all parts manufactured, assembly of each model took 300 hours.

You get a lot of detail with that effort. Amalgam says that the practical aspect of the 296 GT3 is really present and taken into account on the model. That includes an incredibly detailed interior outfitted with straps, straps, switches, buttons and yes, a proper Ferrari steering wheel equipped with buttons and switches.

Amalgam will produce 199 of these 296 GT3 replicas, and the company can design each one to the customer’s request. Furthermore, Aмalgaм has access to things like specific Ferrari colors, so the shades you see are not exactly the same but just an exact match. The price for such work is steep, listed on Aмalgaм’s website at $18,090 – $845 more than a practical, compact Nissan Versa.
