Korean artist Zihwa Hongdae (a.k.a. Le jardin de Zihwa) creates feminine, delicate tattoos in black ink inspired by nature. Her exquisitely beautiful tattoos are etched onto the wearer’s skin using ultra-thin needles, creating detailed lines and professional shine that resemble soft pencil sketches.
Describing her nature tattoos as “eternal spring,” Hongdae’s burgeoning portfolio focuses on intricate vines, delicate leaves and gentle petals that seem to wrap around the wearer’s natural curves to accentuate her figure. Other works feature portraits of wild animals emerging from the flourishing of plant life. In a large back, the head of a majestic tiger is framed by roses and swirling leaves. In another, two birds perched on a cherry blossom branch have lifelike plumage rendered in the artist’s signature razor-thin lines.
You can find more works from Hongdae’s portfolio on Instagram, and if you want to get inked yourself, you can visit the artist at her Seoul-based studio Reindeer Ink .
