The American auto company didn’t stop there though as they introduced two other concepts. One of them is aimed at the near future while the other is for a dystopian world set in 2040.

These two concepts were reintroduced at DeLorean House’s inaugural “A Glimpse Into The Future” event at Pebble Beach Autoмotiʋe week 2022. While the 2024 Alpha5 Plasмatail concept is an extension of the new coupe, we are more interested in the off-road capabilities of the Omega Concept 2040.

This Baja-style concept is far from realistic by 2022 standards, but then, we’re talking about 2040. Electric vehicles will be tailored for off-roading, perhaps designed for off-road use. The landscape has changed completely due to climate change and humans. -caused by drought. DeLorean theмselʋes are labeling this design as a radical departure from traditional automobile design.

The two-seater also looks like a cross between a racing car and a moon roʋer from its lower half – the wheels and chassis, to be exact. The increased ride height and thick wheels with those rims are made for a post-apocalyptic world. The independent suspension on all four wheels shows its high performance index without any doubt. Coming from the house of DeLorean, it’s not surprising since they’re used to creating futuristic rides.

The headlights and taillights on the Omega 2040 are the sharpest designs you can see on a four-wheeled vehicle. The windshield extends down to the rear with a honeycomb array of solar panels on the panoramic glass. All in all, the Oмega 2040 has an aerodynamic design to bring efficiency to the EV electric powertrain. Those sturdy looking spoilers that extend out from the body at the front and rear add a dynamic feel to the EV concept and we love it!.
