A grieving pet owner laughed at her beloved dog after she found him trapped in her dog den five days after he disappeared.

Sarah Mclella, 33, was devastated after her beloved dog Ralph disappeared while walking near her church in Haworth, West Yorkshire last week.

Mclellaп and her husband will spend the weekend searching for the red-haired dachshund. Recruiting volunteers; posting to “Perro Perdido” Facebook groups; and he even asked his wife to create a website for Ralph, but it was all empty.

“On Friday the weather was terrible, very cold and we couldn’t find it anywhere,” Mclellaп said. “As you can imagine, this bastard made me really crazy: ‘What happened? Did he drown? Did something bad happen?

“My son asked them where Ralphy was. The main door opened wide and shouted at him; “It’s heartbreaking,” he added. “We just need to tell him that dad is looking for him.”

Miraculously, the scared dog was eventually sniffed out by sister Edie while she was walking Mclella’s husband on Monday.

Ralph is trapped 5 feet underground in a maze of cripples located just half a mile from his home. After two hours of careful digging, the puppy was finally rescued.

“The lame man’s cave was like a maze, he must have crawled through the hole and got stuck; He made a hole in the middle but couldn’t get out,” Mclella said. “He walked out of the hole handsomely, walked in that direction and continued as if nothing had happened.

“When I got home, I opened the door and saw him in the kitchen,” he added. “I can not believe it”.

Although he lost weight while stuck in the hole, Ralph was not seriously injured.

“Ralph was completely destroyed and his fingernails were worn down where he tried to get out, but otherwise he was fine,” Mclellaп said. “He has lost weight and is more married; “He just needs time to recover.”

The relieved owner hopes that his happy ending will give others hope that he too will find his pet.

“It was all dramatic and I’m still in shock watching it; Last night I stayed up until 1am just holding him.

“He likes to chase cripples and he does it a lot, but this time he went too far. I hope I learned my lesson this time.”
