Her nail technician and the press are claiming her recent Golden Globes manicure is the biggest nail trend of spring and they’re calling it “Naked Disco.”
Nails.co.uk analyzed 198 of Selena Gomez’s nail designs, posted by nail artist Tom Bachik (@tombachik), to find her most popular nail looks to date, based on number of likes . According to the results, it’s not her “Naked Disco” look that’s catching everyone’s attention right now!
Below is a round-up of her five most popular nail styles:
1. Iconic bright red color
Selena’s most popular look on Tom Bachik’s Instagram is her iconic bright red look with over 63.5k likes. The post that received this attention was posted just a few weeks ago on March 1, 2023. This attention for Selena is not surprising as nail.co.uk noticed that in the two weeks since February 11 (before Selena took the top spot on Instagram for most followed women) as of March 4, searches for ‘Selena Gomez’ increased 285% on Google worldwide .
The look was originally posted in November 2020, but professional nail technicians tend to snap photos of their clients’ nails.
“The nail trend to look out for this spring is simple bright red,” says Liana Thomson, nail expert at nail.co.uk. Red nails have long been a classic manicure, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see this timeless color appear on many hands in the coming months.”
2. Glossy emerald green color
Selena’s second most popular nail style is the one she wore in the music video for her single “De Una Vez,” which was released in January 2021. The music video was nominated for Video Short Version best music at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards.
“We’d love to see Selena Gomez’s oval, emerald green nails that she wore in her ‘De Una Vez’ music video make us the nail trend of the season,” says Thomson. this spring. “In the music video, Selena’s green nails are paired with a pretty pink floral dress, which complement each other perfectly.”

Selena hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the first time on May 14, 2022. Bachik, Gomez’s manicurist, said the look as a “classy black man” is ‘bringing charming’.
