“Molten metal is incredibly unique and popular right now,” says nail expert Chelly Soto. “It looks exactly like it sounds — like liquefied metal on your fingernails.”

This trend often features irregular drops of paint or 3D chrome plating powder. “It’s the perfect combination of the future and Y2K,” Soto said.

You can expect to see a lot of sweater-inspired styles, says Soto. This trend has an embossed texture that looks exactly like your best knitting cord and is absolutely adorable.

To get this look, try a pop of warm colors or jewel tones on each finger, or opt for a crisp winter white paint that shows off the sweater’s 3D weathered details.

The “old money” aesthetic has made its way into the nail world, Tan says, and it sounds chic. Just like classic trousers and a crisp white shirt, this trend is all about adding rich, minimalist details to your manicure.

“Icy chrome has really been around for a minute,” Soto said. “It became widely popular after Hailey Bieber debuted her glazed donut design, but as the trend took off, more and more people started exploring it and trying to make it their own. ”

This trend has garnered more than 53.9 billion views on TikTok and according to Tan, it suits a variety of nail shapes and lengths.

If you find old money nails too minimalist, look no further than new money nails.

Instead of pastel colors and classic designs, this style is all about having fun with your manicure, just like you would if you suddenly won the lottery. Think vibrant colors, designer logos and lots of over-the-top energy (you can achieve these with 3D accents, chrome, etc).

Rachel Apfel Glass, founder of GLOSSLAB, said: “We see bows everywhere, and it’s not just on nails but in hair, on Christmas trees – on anything you have can literally wear a bow tie.”
