Details such as the two seats and the small wrapped windshield recall the lines of a speedboat racer. The Mostro Barchetta will be available in only five exclusive models, and nearly all are designated for a limited number of Zagato’s collector customers.

The new Zagato signature entry, inspired by the classic historic car of Le Mans, is an evolution of the Mostro Zagato Powered by Maserati. Launched at the Villa D’Este event in 2015.

Mostro and Mostro Barchetta want to join different generations: as in the 50s, the hearts of classic car victims were attracted by the image of the Maserati Mostro and the 450S, today hearts are fascinated by these new version.

The new Mostro Zagato Barchetta is made of a carbon fiber MonoCell frame, combined with an innovative composite structure for the windshield frame that houses the fuel tank, exhaust system, rear suspension and differential.

The Maserati 8V 4.2 NA engine with a capacity of 420 CV, is mounted in the front center position for optimal weight distribution (50-50) and the Mostro Barchetta, weighing only 1,200 kg with a Weight/Power ratio excellent, bringing “racing” driving experience with outstanding performance.

The front and rear suspension systems have a double wishbone architecture with push rods acting on the spring/shock absorber adjustment system. The racing gearbox is a 6-speed sequential manual clutch and is attached to the engine block.

Alloy wheels with single lug nuts, front tires 255/40 R19 and rear tires 295/35 R19. Mostro Barchetta is equipped with large disc brakes with 6-piston AP Racing brake calipers at the front and 4-piston at the rear and 19-inch alloy wheels.
