Recently, a startup from the US called Hyperion officially launched a supercar powered by hydrogen energy.

Named Hyperion XP-1, this supercar makes a strong impression, from design, technology to performance. To produce XP-1, it took nearly 10 years of research and testing. According to the announcement, more than 200 scientists and researchers participated in this project.

First, let’s talk about design. Like many other supercars, the XP-1 also possesses a short stature and an extremely aggressive appearance, shaped from complex lines. A car like the XP-1 clearly has nothing to complain about in terms of design. Everything is so perfect, from the whole to individual parts such as doors, wheels or lighting systems.

Of course, the XP-1 is not only designed to create impressive effects, but the XP-1 is also engineered from ultra-lightweight materials and optimized aerodynamics to maximize performance. job. In particular, the aerodynamic wings on both sides can turn into solar panels, helping to supplement energy when needed.

Newly released images give us just a glimpse of the cabin inside. But according to the manufacturer, this area is no less special than the exterior. Specifically, the XP-1’s cabin is equipped with a curved screen up to 98 inches in size and integrates gesture control technology.

However, the most interesting part of the XP-1 lies in the dynamics system. Accordingly, this supercar possesses many electric motors powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system and supercapacitor – something seen on the Laborghini Sian FKP-37.

Hyperion says the XP-1 only takes 2.2 seconds to accelerate from 0-97km/h. Maximum speed reaches more than 355km/h. In particular, the maximum operating range is up to more than 1600km – far exceeding an energy-efficient car model like the Toyota Prius. Because it uses hydrogen, the XP-1 also takes less than 5 minutes to refuel.

One of the factors responsible for these incredible numbers lies in the basic mass of the XP-1. Accordingly, this hypercar model weighs only 1032kg, equivalent to many small ICE models.

It is expected that Hyperion XP-1 will go into production next year with a limited quantity of 300 units.
