A business in Argentina suddenly received an order from Messi and his wife.

Guillermo Fernandez is the owner of a grill manufacturing company called Labohierro. One day, he suddenly received a text message from Messi, ordering a grill. This text message made Guillermo choked and speechless.
“Hello, my friend recently bought an oven from you and you sent it to Miami. Can I order a bigger one and you send it to the same place,” Messi texted.
When he received it, Fernandez couldn’t believe his eyes. It took Labohierro’s boss a while to realize the customer was someone with 499 million followers on Instagram.
“We were frozen and didn’t know what to say. It’s an honor to personally make a grill for Messi,” Guillermo said.
According to this businessman, he advised Messi’s wife Antonella to choose the most suitable stove. After that, Guillermo and his colleagues made a few changes in the design to suit Messi, such as printing the Argentine superstar’s image on the stove’s body.
With Messi’s approval, Fernandez posted Messi’s order message online and received positive feedback. Labohierro’s sales increased worldwide and the Instagram account grew in following from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands.
It is known that the pandemic has greatly affected the Argentine economy as well as Labohierro’s business. Right before Messi placed the order, Fernandez was thinking about closing the company.
“Overseas sales saved me. Messi saved me and let me reward the worker. That is the light at the end of the tunnel,” said Fernandez.
At this time, the stove was shipped to the US for Messi’s family. The Argentine superstar paid all costs even though Guillermo offered to give it away for free. “I talked to Messi and his wife. Our idol is truly humble,” Guillermo added.
