Pagani on Thursday unveiled a new supercar called the Huayra R Eʋo, a new, more powerful version of the Huayra R racing car launched in 2021. The car is powered by an updated version of the Huayra R’s naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine called the V12 R-Eʋo. These extra ponies come from a new trumpet design for the intake manifold, a new camshaft, and a tweaked exhaust system.

Located between the engine and the rear wheel is a Pagani 6-speed sequential transmission designed in collaboration with HWA AG for their Huayra racing cars. The non-synchronous dog gear weighs only 176 pounds.

The bike keeps things comfortable with its forged aluminum alloy twin suspension, spiral springs and electronically controlled dampers. New dampers further enhance its handling.

The car has a top speed of 218 mph, with Pirelli P Zero Slick tires measuring 280/680 R19 at the front and 345/725 R20 at the rear. Stopping power comes from the car’s new CCM-R automatic ceramic brakes and espoke racing pads.

Pagani applied the Huayra R Waist to the “codalunga” (long tail) treatment, extending the front splitter up to 4 inches, integrating and supporting the ductwork for the cooling system. It’s also about 7.5 inches longer at the rear, with a new center stabilizer wing supporting the rear wing along with integrated racks.

The refined design increases downforce by 45% and the convertible configuration increases total downforce by 5% thanks to increased front and rear vertical loads. At 199 mph, the Huayra R Eʋo generates more downforce than its running weight. It has a dry weight of 2,337 pounds – about 150 pounds less than a new Miata.

Inside, the seats are made by Pagani using fire-resistant materials, with six-point belts and carbon steel headrests with specialized side protection. Pagani can be configured on the left or right.

Horacio Pagani came up with the idea for the Eʋo convertible while watching the Forмula Indy race in Nashʋille. This car took two years to complete, and Pagani says it can match the performance of today’s Le Mans Prototype 2 racing cars. Hopefully a few lucky car owners will have their cars tested for that claim.
