The lucky buyer will get an iconic car, but not one they can drive.

It’s safe to say that The Wolf of Wall Street, Martin Scorsese’s 2013 epic crime comedy, ranks as one of the most iconic films of its era. For us gadget enthusiasts, that’s partly true because an automotive star has emerged into the world: the 1989 Lamborghini Countach. That car will be auctioned in Abu Dhaai by Bonhams on the 25th with all the damage on display.

Countach with chassis number ZA9CAOSA6KLA12692 is one of 658 models of EditioncIt played a key role in some of the film’s most unforgettable moments, capturing the essence of Jordan Belfort’s lavish lifestyle. It attracted attention along with DiCaprio, even though it only had 3 minutes and 11 seconds of screen time. In one of the film’s shortest scenes, Belfort drives the supercar with comical difficulty, engaging in a stuttering conversation with his on-screen wife, Naoi, played by Margot Robie.

For the lucky buyer, who is expected to pay between $1.5 and $2 million, the acquisition will go well beyond the damaged Countach’s four wheels. A comprehensive package awaits, including one of the film’s four most iconic costumes, a director’s chair, sunboard, crew hoodies and a DVD of the film – all included signature of the illustrious trio of Scorsese, DiCaprio and Robbie. As for the intact Labo, it will be sold at RM Sotheby’s auction in New York in December.
