Jadon Sancho flies to Germany, MU gets rid of debt

The English winger will return to his old club on a loan deal until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Borussia Dortmund paid 3 million pounds of loan fee to MU and covered 2/3 of Sancho’s salary (190,000 pounds/week, MU paid the remaining 100,000 pounds/week).

Sancho returned to play for Dortmund

The entire Dortmund team has just finished a training trip in Marbella and will have a clash with Darmstadt in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Jadon Sancho certainly cannot participate because he needs time to regain his best condition. He has not played since August last year, after being removed from the squad by MU due to conflicts with coach Ten Hag.

Jadon Sancho spent 4 years playing for Dortmund (from 2017 to 2021), appearing 137 times and scoring 50 goals.

However, in two and a half seasons in Manchester, he only scored 12 goals and had 6 assists in 82 matches.

Initially, Dortmund’s leaders had no intention of transferring Sancho, who had a history of being undisciplined and often showing up late to practice at the club.

However, due to the team’s poor performance, they decided to bring Sancho back in the hope of reviving with the 23-year-old striker.

Commenting on his junior, former striker Louis Saha said: “Jadon is one of MU’s biggest failed deals. He has good expertise, but his behavior and attitude are unprofessional.

Under any circumstances, players are not allowed to put their personal ego first and think they are bigger than the coach. No matter what happens, I will not support Sancho.”
